Ready. Set. WRITE. Week 2

My first thought was to post the title as "Epic Fail." But that's really an unfair/negative take on a week of changes and challenges.

How I did on last week’s goals:
Of the 7,000 words I had hoped to write, I wrote 2,785. More successfully I wrote almost 2K in scene notes and character sketches, which will really help me draft as I move along.

My goal(s) for this week:
1. Make notes (notice I didn't say the word "outline")for the next two chapters.
2. Put butt in chair.
3. New unexpected goal: Work revisions for novel currently out on submission.

A favorite line from my story OR one word/phrase that sums up what I wrote/revised.
Where my annoyed MC describes the car of boy she will eventually fall in love with.

"The Swinger is on the fritz again." Flynn shrugs.
Who in the heck says “fritz” or drives a seventies Mopar called a Swinger for God’s sake? His old car is the automotive equivalent to Salvation Army t-shirts.

The biggest challenge I faced this week.
Making writing a priority.  I let a few speed bumps and hiccups keep me from putting butt in chair.

Something I love about my WiP.
The dynamics and chemistry between this huge group of friends surrounding my MC and make it one of those EPIC summers you cherish for a lifetime.
