Scribbler's Fork 2013

Two weeks ago I hosted my 3rd annual writer's dinner, Scribbler's Fork at my house.  It's a dinner (AKA: a whole bunch of appetizers and desserts everyone brings) where invite a bunch of local writers, and now as the years go on, a few published authors.  It's a chance for us to mingle, catch up with our careers and gossip like the old blue-hairs at Sunday church.

This year was the biggest group to date.  And I couldn't be more pleased with how awesome everything turned out.  Here are some pictures to share.

The fun part, table decorations of colored glass jars, Christmas lights and YA novels.

Of course we had Sweets, Eats and Swag...

With fun stuff like Melissa Buell and Cindy Pon's books, magnets, drink koozies, mix tape, hair swag, water bottles AND kick ass drink coasters! (And dang if they didn't forget the comma after books.)

But the best part of all, my indiscriminately awesome writing guests...
Left to right, seated: Gretchen Schreiber, Kathryn Rose, Elle ???, Rachel Searles, Ara Burklund, Jessica Love, Amaris Glass. Standing: Cindy Pon, Keiko Sanders, Liz Briggs, Melissa Buell, Me, LK Garner-Griffe

What an outstanding, inspiring, and caring group of women.  Thank you all for coming.  I can't wait to do it again next year!!!
