Sunday Downloads: "Broken Brights" by Angus Stone

Sunday downloads...on Wednesday. Oops.

I totally messed up and forgot to post this over the weekend.  So please, enjoy a lazy walk with Angus Stone, today.

I could probably fill a month of blog posts with Angus and Julia Stone songs that I love.  But today's song is from Angus' recent solo album. (And for those who may have forgotten, Angus and Julia Stone are from Australia. Aussie music for me is like crack.)  Before I introduce the song, I have to share a quick picture with you.

Here's a picture of a woolly mammoth (on the left):

Here's what a woolly mammoth looks like shaved:
What?!?! Who knew all that hotness was hanging out under that hair? Wow, just wow.

Okay, now that the completely shallow commentary is over, let's talk about his song "Broken Brights."  I love how the tone of Angus' voice and music seems to force you into a euphoric state of mind. I don't know what the song is about, so your guess is good as mine.  But what I do know, this song feeds my soul.  Enjoy.

Lyrics "Broken Brights" by Angus Stone

Is that the old man, walking in the dark?
Is that the old man, walking in the dark?
Is that the old man, walking in the dark?
Is that the old man, walking in the dark?

Take me home.
Where them broken brights.
Are shining down.
Make me feel alright.

When we were young.
When we were young.
When we were young.
When we were young.

Is that the old man, walking in the dark?
Is that the old man, walking in the dark?
Is that the old man, walking in the dark?
Is that the old man, walking in the dark?

Shake them bones.
Let me lust tonight.
We’ll grow young.
Make me feel alright.

When we were young.
When we were young.
When we were young.
When we were young.

Is that the old man, walking in the dark?
Is that the old man, walking in the dark?
Is that the old man, walking in the dark?
Is that the old man?
